She performed in the Pittsburgh Public Theater, where she won the Public's Shakespeare Monologue Contest many times. When she graduated from Mt. Lebanon High School, in the year 2000, Jacobs relocated to New York City New York for a place at her studies at the Juilliard School where she was part in the drama division's group 33. The school awarded her a bachelor's degree in 2004 after graduation in the Lebanon High School.
